A Peep Who Blogs

It has taken me almost a full year to succumb to peer pressure, but now it’s official, I am no longer part of the “Peeps Who Don’t Blog But Should” club (Sorry to leave ya Joshua).

The majority of the posts here will focus on small Photoshop and Expression Engine tips. Nothing too revolutionary, just little tricks and tips that have made my life easier.

If you’ve been to this site before, you’ll notice that I’ve done a little redecorating around here lately. When I started off the main goal was to include this blog, but once I started re-arranging the furniture I realized how much this place needed a fresh coat of paint. I’ve made some changes below the surface as well, and have finally jumped to an xhtml/css based framework powered by Expression Engine.

If all goes well, I can keep myself off of Cameron’s “Peeps Who Blog But Shouldn’t” list in a year from now.

Well, welcome to the scene! (It’s about stinkin’ time.) Whoa, live previewing too! So smooth.

Hey Sean! I was wondering who would be the first to comment on the new site. I should have known!

Very nice site… I got the link from Collylogic. Look forward to seeing it develop.

Hi,

I arrived to your site by doing a search on goggle, “css professional books”, it took me to your site. Currently, I am trying to develop a clean website by css, however, I’m new to css. When I saw your redesign, i was amazed how you utilized css to create this awesome site. I was wondering that if you can help fellow designer out, by suggesting on what kind of books I should get or anything i could do to learn more about it. all help is definitely appreciated! Thanks!!

Hey Chris,
I didn’t really use books too much to learn css, as there are so many online resources out there to pick from. I think the tutorial that I went through where “everything clicked” was this one.

Once I figured out floats, and how to do faux columns, everything started to make sense after that.

Best of luck in your css endeavors!

Thanks Jesse!!!

Hopefully, everything will be smoothly, and Im sure that i will revisit your site agian and looking forward to new updates. Good Luck with everything!!

Jesse,
Just wanted to comment on how incredible your site is. Love the colors and layout. Simply one of the best I’ve seen. Sure there are more interactive sites with bells and whistles but your site still tops those in my book.

As for Cameron’s list, I used to work for him, I’m sure if you asked nicely he’d take it easy on you.

Keep up the good work!

Hey Mitch,
Wow… Thanks for the kind words!
